From TikTok, being one of Kourtney Kardashian’s good friends, being the face of the Item Beauty makeup line, coming out with her first hit single “Obsessed,” to starring in He’s All That, Addison Rae has proven she can do it all. She started as just your average girl who enjoyed posting videos on TikTok for fun, and now she’s nothing short of an icon. While her capabilities have proven to be continuous, we want to focus on three revival movies in which we could confidently see her.

Legally Blonde

Although Addison isn’t blonde, it’s nothing a little hair dye couldn’t fix, right? Legally Blonde is Reese Witherspoon’s infamous movie about her character, Elle Woods, and her journey to self-discovery. Elle has it all: a boyfriend, a little pup named Bruiser, an Audi TT Roadster, every girl’s dream clothing collection, a group of girlfriends, and as we come to find out intelligence. When Elle’s boyfriend, Warner Hungtington III, breaks up with her for being not the brightest prior to his year of studies at Harvard Law School, Elle is given the motivation and determination to prove her ex wrong, ultimately scoring her a high enough grade on the LSAT to get her into Harvard. Throughout the movie, she learns valuable lessons about life and, most importantly, herself.

This is,, without a doubt, a movie we could see Addison Rae starring in because, of course, she has the looks much like Elle, but she also has the brains and ambition to keep surprising the world with her talents.

Clueless

Who doesn’t love a good makeover? Something that Addison Rae and Cher from Clueless have in common is their passion for receiving and giving a good makeover. If you aren’t familiar with Clueless, we’ll fill you in but won’t spoil anything. The movie stars actress Alicia Silverstone as Cher Horowitz, a wealthy, stylish, confident high schooler. After playing matchmaker and setting up her two high school teachers, she realizes that she likes to do good things for people and decides to take the new girl, Tai Fraiser, under her wing. Both Padgett and Cher befriend their classmates and give them a complete makeover, making them more “cool.” While we aren’t sure if Addison Rae has done the same thing in real life, we know that she likes to change it up and share her diverse appearances with us via social media, making Clueless a revival movie that we could definitely picture her in.

Mean Girls

Is it so fetch of us for seeing Addison Rae in Mean Girls? Although she’s far from a mean girl, both she and her character Padgett from He’s All That do have something in common: trying to fit in. If you’ve seen Mean Girls, then you know we’re talking about Cady Heron, but if not, here’s a quick recap without giving anything away. Lindsay Lohan plays the new girl, Cady Heron, who moved to Illinois from Africa and was taught by her two parents her entire life. The whole high school in the suburbs thing is not something that she is accustomed to, but she ends up getting tangled up in the mean girl group, “The Plastics.”
Cady’s involvement in “The Plastics” causes quite a ripple between her and her parents, and also with Damian Leigh and Janis, who despised them and took Cady under their wing on her first day of school. The movie’s climax is when Cady completely changes to fit in and becomes someone that she doesn’t recognize.

Feeling insecure and the pressure of fitting in is also something that Addison Rae has experienced in her personal life. In her and her mom Sheri’s Spotify podcast, “Mommas Knows Best,” she shares what her life looked like before fame and the struggles their family faced. She and her single mom at the time navigated through some rough times and then explained how when her parents reunited, her dad’s work provided them with a camper to live in because they had nowhere else to go due to money struggles. After moving and starting at a new school, Addison Rae discusses how her classmates bullied her for wearing Bearpaw shoes and not being able to afford Uggs. This is when she opens up about not fitting in and her mom feeling pressured to purchase her $200 Ugg boots out of guilt. Do you see the connection between Addison Rae and Cady now? Feeling like you don’t belong is genuinely one of the most gut-wrenching feelings, and we think that after hearing Addison Rae’s story on her podcast and viewing how her character Padgett experienced that as well, she could be seen in Mean Girls.
