Independent entertainment company A24 has just announced its newest endeavor — a movie musical. This will be the first film of its kind for the studio and already has a star-studded cast: here’s everything we know so far!

The film, F*cking Identical Twins, is written by Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp and is based on their 2014 two-man show of the same name. The pair have worked together previously on projects such as The Opposition and Funny or Die’s Jared and Ivanka. The film is to be co-produced and funded by Chernin Entertainment and is to be directed by Larry Charles. The movie is allegedly already in production.

Jackson and Sharp have not only written the stageplay and its subsequent film adaptation but will star in the film as well, a lá Lin-Manuel Miranda. Alongside them is an all-star cast, featuring Saturday Night Live’s Bowen Yang, Megan Mullaly, Nathan Lane, and Megan Thee Stallion. You read that right: Miss Tina Snow herself will be making her film debut! Thee Ultimate H-Town Hottie took to Instagram to share the exciting news with her fans last week.

F*cking Identical Twins is an R-rated spin on The Parent Trap. Sharp and Jackson play two competing businessmen who discover that they’re actually, as the title implies, f*cking identical twins. The unlikely pair will team up in an effort to reunite their divorced parents and become a family again.

A24 has produced films such as Midsommar, Moonlight, 20th Century Women, Uncut Gems, Hot Summer Nights, and Lady Bird. A24 is also the studio behind television shows and series such as Ali Wong: Don Wong, Phoebe Robinson: Sorry, Harriet Tubman, and most notably, Euphoria.

Chernin Entertainment is the studio behind Hidden Figures, The Greatest Showman, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, and the Planets of the Apes franchise. With credits like these, fans and movie-lovers are sure to be impressed with the studios’ collaboration!
