Grammy Award  winning rapper Cardi B has been cast as the lead of the movie Assisted Living! Paramount tweeted on January 14th, that they’re excited Cardi B is “WAP = Working At Paramount!”

Previously, she’s acted in Hustlers as Diamond, a Bronx-born stripper. She’s also going to appear in the ninth Fast and the Furious movie that comes out later this year. But we’re excited to see her in a movie where she’s the lead! Here’s what we know so far:

After a competitive bid war back in 2019, Paramount won the rights to Assisted Living. The film is to be produced by Stephen Love and Temple Hill. The script comes from This Is Us writer, Kay Oyegun. Assisted Living has been described as a raucous comedy about a small-time crook who disguises and hides herself in her estranged grandmother’s nursing home after a heist gone wrong. Cardi B has been cast as Amber, the thief in hiding.

While there’s no release date, many fans have already expressed excitement on Twitter!
