To All The Boys: Always and Forever is finally here! When the trailer dropped in January, we gave a list of things we were excited to see, and we’re back to let you know if To All The Boys: Always and Forever stacks up against our list. Warning: There will be some spoilers!
- Covey Sister Bonding
When we saw the trailer, we really wanted to see the Covey sisters bond, and we definitely got that! Getting to see Margot, Lara Jean, and Kitty have a blast in South Korea was so fun! We also got to see the sisters support each other throughout the movie, from frequent phone calls with Margot, and pep talks from Kitty. Fans like @vjrgos, @Philip_Ellis, and @m_bee4 were Tweeting about how much they loved seeing the sisters:
watching the new to all the boys and can i just say the covey sisters shopping at laneige in korea… amazing

I just started To All The Boys: Always And Forever and we must protect the Song-Covey sisters at all costs. pic.twitter.com/gUMbUhSQQp

- Gen’s Growth
Another thing we were on the lookout for was Gen’s character development. Well, after seeing her support Lara Jean, express interest in her future, and treat Chris kindly, I think we can say we got it! It seems that the events of P.S. I Love You had a positive impact on her, which was wonderful to see. Fans were ecstatic at the growth, and actually want more of Gen!
i wish there was more of gen and lara jean in the new to all the boys 😭

Yes, I'm watching the third To All The Boys movie for the 3rd time this weekend and honestly the best relationship in all of these films is the one between Lara Jean and Gen ❤

- Lara Jean and Peter
Our last item on our wish list, was seeing Lara Jean and Peter be the cutest couple ever, and they certainly delivered! We got to see them go on cute dates, explore NYC, and watch them have a blast at prom! But fans were genuinely and happily surprised at how Peter handled the “Lara Jean lying about Stanford” situation. When Lara Jean confessed about not getting in, Peter didn’t get mad, but asked her if she was okay. And that caused a lot of fans to swoon over a man with, as @beebabs says, “emotional intelligence.”
The best surprise in To All The Boys: Always And Forever was when Peter asks Lara Jean if she's okay after she reveals they aren't going to the same college. I was truly PREPARED for him to say something stupid #ToAllTheBoys3 pic.twitter.com/SaeDz3DWdT

Lara-Jean lied to Peter Kavinsky and his first question was "are you okay?" because he immediately understood why she did it and let that take precedence over whatever hurt he might have felt 😭😭 a heartthrob also has or develops acute emotional intelligence

i want a relationship like lara jean and peter’s relationship

Not only did To All The Boys: Always and Forever check off our wish list, but it also gave us a lot of cute scenes with Dr. Covey and Trina leading up to their marriage, and we got to see Kitty experience the struggles of a first love! But there’s still a lot more drama we didn’t cover, like Lara Jean’s desire to go to school 3,000 miles away from Peter, so make sure to check out To All The Boys: Always and Forever, which is streaming on Netflix now!
