The Cast of Followed on iTalk Movies

iTalk movies is a long-form interview series featuring leading members of the film community. In this episode, our host Megan Salinas interviews the cast of Followed on the Popcorn Talk Network.

Shortly after Halloween, an anonymous video was uploaded to discussion boards across the web. The 2-hour clip featured a screen-capture of an unknown viewer scrolling through the video posts of popular vlogger “ImpoliteMike,” specifically the final episodes that led to his widely talked-about disappearance. The video ignited a flurry of heated discussions between skeptics and conspiracy theorists who debated whether the video was someone’s idea of a bad joke, or the possibility that the missing vlogger’s killer(s) may have uploaded the post with malicious intent. Whatever the case, this series of vlogs will send icy shivers down your spine.

Jersey Boys is a 2005 jukebox musical with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. It is presented in a documentary-style format that dramatizes the formation, success and eventual break-up of the 1960s rock ‘n roll group The Four Seasons. The musical is structured as four “seasons”, each narrated by a different member of the band who gives his own perspective on its history and music. Songs include “Big Girls Don’t Cry“, “Sherry“, “December 1963 (Oh, What A Night)“, “My Eyes Adored You“, “Stay“, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You“, “Working My Way Back to You” and “Rag Doll“, among others. The musical opened on Broadway in 2005 and has since had two North American National Tours and productions in London’s West End, Las Vegas, Chicago, Toronto, Melbourne and other Australian cities, Singapore, South Africa, The Netherlands and elsewhere. Join us each week as Ben Begley and Jesse McIntosh breakdown your favorite films, from the classics to the yet to be seen; it’s all here under one banner… GUILTY MOVIE PLEASURES!

Alone in the Dark Review | Video Game Movie Anatomy

Video Game Movie Anatomy hosts break down Video Game inspired movies to answer the age old question: DO GAMES MAKE GOOD MOVIES?!?! In today’s episode, hosts Mark Donica, Stacey Shuttleworth and Patrick Dees discuss the Alone in the Dark!

Alone in the Dark is a 2005 Canadian-German-American science fiction action horror film, loosely based on the fourth installment of Infogramesvideo game series of the same name. Directed by Uwe Boll, the film stars Christian Slater as supernatural detective Edward Carnby (the main character in the games), Tara Reid as the scientist assisting him, and Stephen Dorff as the government operative who joins forces with them.

The film was a critical and commercial failure, and is widely considered one of the worst films ever made. Despite this, a sequel was released in 2008.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show Movie Discussion – Broadway Breakdown

Hosts Briana Phipps, Alexis Torres, Christian Bladt and James Franck discuss The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a 1975 musical comedy horror film directed by Jim Sharman. The screenplay was written by Sharman and Richard O’Brien based on the 1973 musical stage production The Rocky Horror Show, music, book, and lyrics by O’Brien. The production is a parody tribute to the science fiction and horror B movies of the 1930s through early 1970s. The film stars Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, and Barry Bostwick along with cast members from the original Royal Court Theatre, Roxy Theatre, and Belasco Theatreproductions.

The story centres on a young engaged couple whose car breaks down in the rain near a castle where they seek a telephone to call for help. The castle is occupied by strangers in elaborate costumes celebrating an annual convention. They discover the head of the house is Frank N. Furter, an apparent mad scientist who actually is an alien transvestite who creates a living muscle man in his laboratory. The couple is seduced separately by the mad scientist and eventually released by the servants who take control.

The film was shot in the United Kingdom at Bray Studios and on location at an old country estate named Oakley Court, best known for its earlier use by Hammer Film Productions. A number of props and set pieces were reused from the Hammer horror films. Although the film is both a parody and tribute to many of the kitsch science fiction and horror films, costume designer Sue Blane conducted no research for her designs. Blane stated that costumes from the film have directly impacted the development of punk rock fashion trends such as ripped fishnets and dyed hair.
