Meg LeFauve and Lorien McKenna Exclusive INTERVIEW – UTR Special

Today, Jeff Graham interviews working writing partners Meg LeFauve & Lorien McKenna as they discuss their time at Pixar, upcoming projects, and perhaps a bit about the upcoming MCU entry CAPTAIN MARVEL, on which Meg is billed as a screenwriter.

Nominated for a Best Screenplay Oscar for the Pixar blockbuster INSIDE OUT, LeFauve won an Annie Award for that screenplay. She also wrote Pixar’s Golden Globe nominated THE GOOD DINOSAUR. She also wrote on Marvel’s upcoming CAPTAIN MARVEL.

LeFauve began her film career as a producer and President of Egg Pictures, Jodie Foster’s film company. During that time, LeFauve produced films which were nominated for an Emmy, a Golden Globe, and was awarded a Peabody for the Showtime film, “The Baby Dance.” LeFauve also produced “The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys” which won the 2003 IFP Spirit Award for Best First Feature.

Raised in Warren, OH, LeFauve graduated from the Syracuse University Newhouse School and currently lives in Studio City, CA with her husband and two sons.

Lorien’s studio experience includes 10 years at Pixar Animation Studios in Story Development on RATATOUILLE, UP, BRAVE, INSIDE OUT, and THE GOOD DINOSAUR; Paramount Animation as the Associate Producer on the an upcoming animated feature; and ReelFx Animation Studios as a Story Consultant.

McKenna grew up in Northern California and attended St. Mary’s College of
California where she received a BA in English Literature/Performing Arts and an MFA in Playwriting. She lives in Glendale with her husband and daughter.
