In 1974, Steven Spielberg filmed JAWS in Martha's Vineyard, as a stand-in for the fictional AMITY ISLAND. The movie was released on June 20, 1975, and become a phenomenon, jumpstarting the era of summer blockbusters. 50 years later, idyllic Martha's Vineyard opened its arms to welcome back cast, crew, and the fans that made JAWS one of the most impactful motion pictures of all time.
