Ido Samuel talks Fill the Void on iTalk Movies

Samuel is a prominent Israeli actor best known for his role as Yossi in “Fill The Void”, a film that won 7 Israeli Academy Awards. The film also won Best Foreign Language Film at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Best Feature Film at the Sao Paulo International Film Festival, and was nominated in numerous other film festivals around the world. Samuel was most recently seen in “Unforgivable Sin”, a short film which premiered at the New York City International Film Festival. “Unforgivable Sin” stars Samuel as serial killer on the run from the law who is offered sanctuary by a kind-hearted but clueless rabbi and his wife. Next for Samuel is the feature film “Introducing Jodea” and the documentary “East of Byzantium: War Dogs and Warrior Saints”. In “Introducing Jodea”, Samuel stars as a famous movie director who changes the fortune of a struggling young actress when he drives into the back of her car. “East of Byzantium: War Dogs and Warrior Saints” depicts the battles between ruling empires and houses of nobility that would decide the fate of the Caucuses, the real Middle Earth, and ultimately the fate of the Western World. @ThePopcornTalk

Marlee Roberts started began her career in the entertainment industry as an actress. At four years old, she showed America her dimpled smile in an Orajel national commercial. Soon after, she made appearances on David Letterman’s The Late Show and ABC’s One Life to Live. At ten years old, Roberts was cast in the musical The American Girls Revue. She has appeared on TV shows for ABC and the Adult Swim Network as well as in films such as Night Has Settled, starring Spencer List and Oscar-nominated actress Adriana Barraza and The English Teacher, starring Julianne Moore and Greg Kinnear. She can also be found as the “Rachel” cover model for the Scholastic Animorphs book relaunch. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Roberts produced over twenty projects since 2010 including Mastodon, which was selected by Film Shortage as one of their featured short films. Two other films Elm Gardens and Justice in D Minor world premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012 and 2013, respectively. Broadway World claims that Roberts’ feature directorial debut Little Miss Perfect  “handles what is an extremely delicate subject matter with careful precision”. The film has garnered critical acclaim and Roberts has interviewed for and appeared in The Huffington Post, Backstage, The Examiner, and Fox 5 News, among others. The film premiered at the Irvine Int’l Film Festival where it was nominated for Best Feature Narrative and was selected to screen in the Soho House Cinema Program. Roberts was dubbed a “Big Screen Filmmaker” on the cover of 201 Magazine’s April 2016 issue. She serves on the California Docu Film Festival’s Youth Advisory Board and has appeared on Sunywide Film Festival’s “Breaking into the Business” and Annapolis Film Festival’s “Young Hollywood” panels. She is a member of the Alliance of Women Directors, New York Women in Film and Television, Women in Film, and the Women in Moving Pictures Society and is currently in development for her next film.

It was directed by Brett Ratner, written by Simon Kinberg and Zak Penn, and features an ensemble cast, including Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Famke Janssen, Anna Paquin,Kelsey Grammer, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, Shawn Ashmore, Aaron Stanford, Vinnie Jones, and Patrick Stewart. The film’s script is loosely based on two X-Men comic book story arcs: “The Dark Phoenix Saga” by writer Chris Claremont and artist John Byrne, and “Gifted” by writer Joss Whedon and artist John Cassaday, with a plot that revolves around a “mutant cure” that causes serious repercussions among mutants and humans, and on the resurrection of Jean Grey. Bryan Singer, who had directed the two previous films, X-Men (2000) and X2, decided to leave to work on Superman Returns, as he had not even defined the storyline for a third film. Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa (Japanese: 劇場版 鋼の錬金術師 シャンバラを征く者 Hepburn: Gekijōban Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Shanbara o Yuku Mono?) is a 2005 Japanese animatedfilm directed by Seiji Mizushima and written by Sho Aikawa.[2] A sequel to the first Fullmetal Alchemisttelevision series, the film follows the story of alchemist Edward Elric as he attempts to return to his homeworld, having lived for two years on a parallel universe Earth, while his younger brother Alphonse is also trying to reunite with him by any means necessary. Edward’s search attracts the attention of the Thule Society, which seeks to enter his homeworld, believing it to be Shamballa, to obtain new weapons to help them in World War II. Conqueror of Shamballa premiered in Japan on July 23, 2005. A CD soundtrack has also been published featuring music from the film developed by Michiru Oshima and L’Arc-en-Ciel. In Japan, it has been edited in a standard DVD, as well as in a limited edition. It was later licensed in North America by Funimation that featured the film in cinemas for a short time, and also released it on DVD and Blu-ray. Most of the staff from the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime started development on Conqueror of Shamballashortly after the anime’s ending. The original script had to be shortened to fit the film’s length of 105 minutes. During its premiere in Japan, Conqueror of Shamballa remained as one of the most popular films in the year. Critical reaction to the film has commonly been positive, with reviews praising the film’s story and graphics used.

Financial TV host Lee Gates and his producer Patty are put in an extreme situation when an irate investor takes over their studio. Lee Gates is a Wall Street guru who picks hot stocks as host of the television show “Money Monster.” Suddenly, during a live broadcast, disgruntled investor Kyle Budwell storms onto the set and takes Gates hostage. He tells Lee that he lost everything on one of his tips. As Gates tries to plead with Kyle, he’s also using an earpiece to communicate with his longtime producer in the control room. Together, they must figure out a way to defuse the situation and disarm the angry young man.

Drive (2011) Review | Action Movie Anatomy

Action Movie Anatomy hosts Ben Bateman and Andrew Ghai break down Drive! Drive is a 2011 American neo-noir crime thriller film directed by Nicolas Winding Refn. The screenplay by Hossein Amini is based on the 2005 novel of the same name by James Sallis. It stars Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks, Ron Perlman, Oscar Isaac and Albert Brooks. Like the book, the film is about an unnamed Hollywood stunt performer(Gosling) who moonlights as a getaway driver. Prior to its September 2011 release, it had been shown at a number of film festivals. At the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, Drive was praised and received a standing ovation. Winding Refn won the festival’s Best Director Award for the film. Reviews from critics have been positive, with many drawing comparisons to work from previous eras. The film was nominated for Best Film and Best Direction at the 65th British Academy Film Awards.
