For the past several years, NERDIST, the fandom-focused website started by Chris Hardwick (who is no longer associated), has produced NERDIST HOUSE, an offsite during San Diego Comic-Con featuring panels, parties, photo booths, and all kinds of nerdy goodness. This year, with COVID ruining the world, and Comic-Con officially moving online with its Comic-Con@home event, NERDIST decided to do something different. This week they announced NERDIST HOUSE 2020, a series of panels, screenings, and digital events meant to “bring the comic convention experience to the living rooms and viewing devices of fans everywhere.”

Nerdist House 2020 officially kicks off at 10 a.m. PT on Saturday, July 11, 2020. Here’s everything you need to know:.

Saturday, July 11:

10 a.m. – 11 a.m. PT

Hannibal: A Delicious Reunion is a perfect prelude to a Hannibal rewatch, now that the series is on Netflix. Chat with fellow fans and with the Hannibal cast and crew, and help raise funds for The Okra Project.

11 a.m. – 12 p.m. PT

The Ultimate RAD Reunion brings together some very special guests from a 1986 cult classic: Rad. In this special retrospective, stars Talia Shire, Bill Allen, and Bart Conner, as well as Robert Schwartzman, who painstakingly remastered the film from its original negatives into stunning 4K, sit down with host and Rad superfan Dan Casey to discuss the film’s legacy, rare behind-the-scenes stories, and much more. Directed by Hal Needham and released at the height of the BMX craze, Rad stands the test of time through its relentless charisma, over-the-top stunts, and resonant emotional core. One of the wildest, weirdest, and most wonderful films of the 1980s, Rad is a BMX coming-of-age story like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Mostly because until now the film was incredibly hard to find! Thanks to Robert Schwartzman and Utopia, this fan-favorite film is finally available on Blu-ray through Vinegar Syndrome.

4 p.m. – 5 p.m. PT

TokuSHOUTsu Kamen Rider Panel. Nerdist’s Kyle Anderson moderates an exclusive panel exploring Kamen Rider, one of the greatest and most beloved tokusatsu series of all time. Panelists include Team Kamen Rider’s David Clarke, Steve Schultze, Ken Pham, and Anthony Aguirre; Tokunation’s TokuChris; Tokusatsu Network’s Nicole Amber; and TokuSHOUTsu’s Ari Schonfeld.

5 p.m. PT

North American Premiere Screening of Kamen Rider Heisei Generations Forever. This is your chance to see this landmark film for the first time in North America! Featuring a special message from a Kamen Rider actor before the film, fans won’t want to miss this. Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FOREVER will not be streaming anywhere until the end of the summer, so this screening event will be fans’ only chance to watch the film until then. Note: Due to rights restrictions, this screening will be YouTube only.

The panel series will be carried on Nerdist’s YouTube Channel and will simultaneously stream on the Geek & Sundry YouTube Channel and Geek & Sundry’s Twitch Channel. Look for more announcements of panel events and sponsorship opportunities in the coming days and weeks.
