Leonardo DiCaprio is presenting Robert De Niro with the 2019 SAG Life Achievement Award.
The producers for the ceremony announced that the award-winning DiCaprio will present this honor to his This Boy’s Life co-star De Niro at the 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild ceremony in January. The SAG Life Achievement award is SAG-AFTRA’s highest honor.
De Niro and DiCaprio have co-starred in several films together including Marvin’s Room, which was nominated for a SAG Award in 1997. The actors first shared the screen in This Boy’s Life- one of DiCaprio’s earliest films that helped launch his award-winning career.
After nominations for eight SAG awards, Leonardo DiCaprio accepted his first in 2016 for his performance in The Revenant. He also won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for the same role.

De Niro’s two-time Oscar winning career has spanned over 50 years. He has been nominated for another five Oscars and nine Golden Globes, winning one. He is most known for his award winning films The Godfather II, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Awakenings, and Silver Linings Playbook.

The Life Achievement Award will be presented during the 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild ceremony, which will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Sunday January 19, 2020 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
