Simu Liu has addressed the recent rumors Shang Chi has started filming.

There have been rumors circulating the internet that Shang Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings has already begun filming, and Simu Liu had a great time joking at the rumors expense.

His Instagram story ended up on a Reddit post where he said he’s in Singapore right now, but in the most sarcastic tone possible. He also joked that they shot the first of 12 musical numbers, and that he’s been rehearsing in jazz and tap.

This sure sounds like it’s going to be one hell of a movie.

However, Marvel President Kevin Feige did confirm Shang Chi will begin filming soon.

“I went to my then assistant Jonathan Schwartz, who is now in Australia producing Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings that goes into production in a few months,” he said in an interview with the New York Film Academy. “Shang-Chi is going to be so much more than a kung-fu movie, but it has elements of that which we’re excited about.”
