Disney has a new princess and she's fierce!

We’re getting a new Disney princess!

Raya And The Last Dragon is coming soon and I’m excited to see another strong, fierce princess being added to the list!

The movie is about a girl named Raya who lives in a fantasy world called Kumandra. Humans and dragons were able to live peacefully together until an evil force came and threatened their land which caused the dragons to sacrifice themselves. Years later the people of Kumandra are at odds, and Raya must find the last dragon to restore peace to her home.

The fantasy land is inspired by Southeast Asian culture and was written by Crazy Rich Asians writer, Adele Lim. Kelly Marie Tran will be the voice of Raya and Awkwafina will be the voice of the last dragon Sisu. I can’t wait to see these two dominate these roles!

Disney has been making an effort to redefine what it means to be a princess through some of their latest princess movies like Moana and Frozen and I’m loving it!

They released the trailer for the new film which will premiere in March 2021 and it looks like a must see!
