An already busy 2021 schedule for Marvel just got a little busier with another movie added for October 2021.

Multiple sources are reporting that Sony has announced an untitled Sony / Marvel film for October 8, 2021. So, let the speculation begin as to what film that might be. This film will follow this fall’s, Morbius and Venom 2 and next summer’s third, Tom Holland Spider-Man film. Is that enough time to set the Sinister Six in motion?

Could last week’s casting rumors for Kraven the Hunter mean a stand alone film for that character? We’ve also been previously told Sony is developing films based on Madame Web, Silver Sable or Black Cat. Could it be one of them?

Or, maybe this ties into the latest rumor, as reported by Jeremy Conrad of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Cosmic, that there’s plans for a Spider-Woman movie. The character is actually shared between Marvel and Sony where Marvel can use Jessica Drew in the MCU as a secret agent. They can’t however, use the Spider-Woman name, spider powers or the Spider-Woman costume. This all of which, Sony has the rights to.

How excited would you be for a Jessica Drew, Spider-Woman movie? Would you rather it be a stand alone villain film, like Kraven the Hunter? Or, do you think that in sixteen short months, we’ll be ready for Sinister Six? Let us know in the comments below!
