After the cataclysmic events in New York with his fellow Avengers, Steve Rogers, aka Captain America (Chris Evans), lives in the nation’s capital as he tries to adjust to modern times. An attack on a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague throws Rogers into a web of intrigue that places the whole world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and a new ally, the Falcon, Rogers struggles to expose an ever-widening conspiracy, but he and his team soon come up against an unexpected enemy.

The Other Gusy: Two mismatched New York City detectives seize an opportunity to step up like the city’s top cops, whom they idolize, only things don’t quite go as planned.

American action comedy film directed and co-written by Adam McKay. It stars Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, and features Michael Keaton, Eva Mendes, Steve Coogan, Ray Stevenson, Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson.

This film is the fourth of five collaborations between Ferrell and McKay, following Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006), and Step Brothers (2008), and followed by Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues(2013). The Other Guys is the only one not to be co-written by Ferrell. It is also the first of three collaborations between Ferrell and Wahlberg, who later reunited in Daddy’s Home (2015) and Daddy’s Home 2 (2017).

Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi is a 2017 American epic space opera film written and directed by Rian Johnson. It is the second installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy and the eighth main installment of the Star Wars franchise, following Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). It is produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The cast includes Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, and Gwendoline Christie in returning roles, with Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern, and Benicio del Toro joining the cast. The film features the final film performance by Fisher, who died in December 2016, and is dedicated to her memory. The plot follows Rey as she receives Jedi training from Luke Skywalker, in hopes of turning the tide for the Resistance in the fight against Kylo Ren and the First Order.

Jim Harrick was a Division 1 NCAA college basketball coach who won a championship with UCLA. He coached for 23 years and won over 450 games. Growing up in rural Charleston, West Virginia, Harrick coached his way up to become one of the most regarded leaders in college basketball. In 1995, he won the NCAA championship with UCLA and was named the Naismith Coach of the Year. In total, he lead 16 teams to the NCAA Division 1 tournament. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Messinger is a student of the music game as he started playing piano at just five years old, and later learned guitar, bass, and saxophone. He was awarded the prestigious Oscar Peterson Scholarship for Jazz Studies not once, but twice at York University in Toronto. In addition to winning one Grammy and being nominated for two others, Messinger also won the Juno Award for Producer of the Year in 2015.

Tom Cross, Film Editor – I Blame Dennis Hopper

“I Blame Dennis Hopper” is film aficionado and historian Illeana Douglas’ vodcast featuring exclusive interviews, discussion, and topical commentary from one of the industry’s most respected artists.

Tom Cross is an American television and film editor. He began his career in 1997 as an assistant editor, contributing to such diverse projects as We Own the Night (2007), Crazy Heart (2009), The Switch (2010) and the Primetime Emmy Award-winning drama series Deadwood. He came to worldwide prominence in 2015 when he won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Editing, BAFTA Award for Best Editing, and Academy Award for Best Editing (among other honors) for his work on the acclaimed film Whiplash (2014). He has cited The Wild Bunch (1969) and The French Connection (1971) as influences on the editing of this film, and reunited with writer/director Damien Chazelle on the romantic comedy La La Land (2016).

Amanda Wyss, Actress – I Blame Dennis Hopper

“I Blame Dennis Hopper” is film aficionado and historian Illeana Douglas’ vodcast featuring exclusive interviews, discussion, and topical commentary from one of the industry’s most respected artists.

Amanda Wyss is an American film and television actress. She began her career in the early 1980s and first gained notice for her role as Lisa in Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982). She then rose to international prominence after playing Tina Gray in the fantasy film A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). She subsequently starred in Silverado (1985), Better Off Dead (1985), Powwow Highway (1989), Shakma (1990), and The Id (2016). Outside of film, Wyss has guest starred on a variety of television series including Cheers (1985-1986), Charmed (1999), and Dexter (2006). Wyss is also known for her role as Randi McFarland in the television series Highlander: The Series (1992-1993).
